Dear Friend,
It is obvious the economy is not good and many of your budgets are stretched to the limit – I sincerely understand. Yet, I know God is still on His throne and He cares for His own. He will provide what we need to keep His work going.
The glue that has held Baptist ministry together is the Cooperative Program. Fruitland continues to receive over ˝ of its budget through Cooperative Program giving. However, we can further develop resources for the school we all love by contributing through Friends of Fruitland. I have included a proposal that would help the school like never before and put less pressure on all of us. If we reach the goal in this proposal we would have $725,000 per year to develop, maintain buildings and grounds, pay off debts and build needed buildings. Even if we reach only half that goal we would not need to continually solicit funds.
The Baptist State Convention of North Carolina will handle all money raised. “Friends of Fruitland” is only a network of individuals, churches and foundations that give to the ministry of the school. The Baptist State Convention of North Carolina owns and operates the school and much of our budget is provided through the Convention budget. Your money would be channeled to your designated part of the ministry, which, at present, is the Kenneth Ridings Preaching Chapel.
Please pray for Fruitland and what God would have you do financially. I have made my own personal commitment and hope you will do the same. If you have any questions, please call me at (828) 506-7042. This would be a great time to begin supporting Fruitland on a regular basis. If you are already doing so, please fill out the enclosed response and we will make every effort to keep you informed about the school’s ministry. Please be a friend to Fruitland Baptist Bible Institute.
In Christ,
J.D. Grant
