A Testimony from a Fruitland Alumnus...

Many students who graduate Fruitland go on to other institutions of higher learning.  Earlier this year, we received a letter from a recent graduate who is enrolled at the College at Southeastern Seminary in Wake Forest, NC.  The letter demonstrates that Fruitland students are prepared to do well academically in future studies, and in addition they are prepared to serve as ministers of the gospel.  As you read this word of thanks, please know that your contributions to Fruitland help these results to be possible.

I would like to take a moment to thank Fruitland Baptist Bible Institute for the last two year of my life.  The faculty and staff have been an integral part in my spiritual and educational formation.  I am currently enrolled in the College at Southeastern and I must say that the professors at Fruitland have done a phenomenal job of preparing me for the next level of education.  My English professor's, the late Dr. Willingham, Professor Scarlett, and Dr. Sorrells, as well as Mrs. Ashburn have influenced my ability to soak up the liberal arts side of theological education.  Without the foundation in English at Fruitland, I am not sure I would have been able to learn Greek or to study Plato and Aristotle.  Fruitland has given me not only the ministry foundation I expected to receive.  It has taught me what it means to be a scholar. I want to thank each professor for their willingness to pour their hearts and souls into the lives of men and women who have a passion for the gospel.  You have changed my life.
In His service,
Walley Kelly
