Financial Development News Spring 2015
In recent years, Christian institutions of higher education are experiencing some of the most intense financial struggles they have ever known. This has led to the closing (or mergers) of some notable institutions such as Tennessee Temple University and Mid-Continent University. It appears that every Christian college and seminary is working overtime to secure the needed funding that will allow them to continue training students for ministry. Fruitland is not immune to these challenges and that is why your help is needed at this crucial moment.
In order to operate in the black, Fruitland needs 100 churches and/or individuals who will contribute $1,000 per year to our operating budget. (A yearly contribution of $1,000 is only $83.33 per month!) As this need has become public knowledge, 12 churches have already agreed to include Fruitland in their yearly budgets. We are grateful for this initial response and we pray that the number will continue to grow in the next few months! Will you lead your church to include Fruitland in their yearly budget? And, will you consider a personal donation to Fruitland on a yearly basis?
President Horton is leading a campaign to enlist those churches and individuals who can provide additional financial support that will ensure the financial stability of Fruitland. Please contact President Horton by email at [email protected]fruitland.edu or by phone at (828) 685-8886 to share your commitment. There are many worthy causes that vie for attention, but what could possibly be of greater value than the training of ministers who will win souls, disciple believers, and mentor others to do the same? We hope to hear from you soon!
In addition to this opportunity, the family of Dr. Kenneth Ridings has requested that memorial gifts be designated to the Kenneth Ridings Preaching Chapel Fund at Fruitland Baptist Bible College. The chapel debt is currently at $773,000.00. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to see this debt paid in full in memory of such a tremendous man of God? Thanks for helping make this happen!
