Overview of this position
Cary First is seeking a Kids and Family Ministry Director to create unforgettable and transformative atmospheres that will help kids take their next steps to know Jesus, trust Jesus, and follow Jesus. This person will be the primary leader and work alongside the Associate Pastor in the weekly programming within Cary Kids. Everything we do as a Next Generation team is for the purpose of seeing kids take their next steps of faith in professing Jesus as Lord, participating in baptism, and starting the journey of owning their relationship with Jesus before transitioning to the student ministry. Beginning the process of disciple making by leading them to participate in our Bible Reading Plan.

Responsibilities
• Be an active and contributing member of the Ministerial Team.
o Be prepared for weekly meetings, as well as monthly check-ins with
the Associate Pastor.
o Contribute to all Next Generation Ministry initiatives throughout the
year.
o Train parents to become the primary disciple-makers of their family.
• Act as the Team Lead of Cary Kids.
o Provide programming leadership to weekly Preschool, Elementary,
Preteen, and Family ministries.
o Plan and organize curriculum content and the overall Calendar with
the Associate Pastor.
o Organize and manage weekly serving schedules for Babies-5th Grade
leaders.
o Make sure all areas of Kid Ministry on Sundays are fully staffed each
week.
• Create an environment for kids to move forward.
o Evaluate the effectiveness of our spaces and ensure that they are set
up and utilized well to accomplish our vision.
o Use creative physical props and visuals to reinforce what we’re
teaching each month.
o Communicate with the Associate Pastor regarding all leadership
recruitment needs and ensure they are properly trained.
• Provide clear and consistent communication to Cary Kids leaders and
parents.
o Send weekly emails to all leaders: communication curriculum
content, upcoming schedules, training opportunities, encouragement,
and any other related news and events.
o Send monthly parent emails to communicate ways for parents to
engage their kids with content from our weekly teaching and
motivate them in their role as the primary spiritual leaders for their
kids.
o Plan and organize weekly social media posts for Cary Kids on
multiple platforms.
o Make sure all video teaching content and parent info is updated
weekly on the Cary First Next Generation web page.
