JOB TITLE: WORSHIP LEADER
This individual should agree with and help advance the vision and strategy of TFBC “Changing Lives through the power
of Jesus Christ.”
Basic Purpose for Worship Leader: To develop and enhance worship leadership that will support the vision and mission of
Trading Ford Baptist Church. Engage the congregation with a spiritual and meaningful worship experience.
Reports to: Senior Pastor
Interrelationships: Ministerial and church wide support staff, church members needing assistance to support church related pre-
determined* activities.
1. Major Job Duties for Worship Leader:
Provide spiritual growth in the worship service ministry.
Coordinate with Pastor, band members, and A/V leader for all worship services to integrate a full range of music,
drama and audio visuals to enhance and engage the congregation in a spiritual worship experience for all age
groups.
Supply resources for all worship services.
Work with worship team leaders to incorporate new music as needed.
Update worship media as needed.
Lead the worship band for seasonal performances and pre-determined* special events.
Recruit new members for worship team.
Maintain knowledge of current and available resources, back up musicians and assist worship band members as
needed.
Purchase music supplies as needed.
Mentor and develop future music ministry leaders/internships.
Evaluate TFBC’s Worship Arts Ministry on an on-going basis with other music ministries and make recommendations
as needed for improvement.
Coordinate TFBC music ministries within the community.
2. Administration
Plan, develop an annual budget for music ministries and maintain that budget.
Advise leadership regarding needs that relate to the maintenance of all musical instruments and music related
property.
Work with Church Administrative Assistant to maintain appropriate maintenance contracts for all musical
instruments as required.
Keeps the church in compliance regarding the use of copyright materials.
Continuously look for opportunities to enhance the worship experience and engage the congregation by using music,
lighting, A/V, drama and other resources.
Be a part of the ministry team and participate in staff meetings for prayer and planning.
Participate in and support church wide projects and ministries as appropriate.
Fill in for Senior Pastor’s pulpit responsibilities during vacation and sickness, as needed.
Be supportive of the overall ministry of the church at all levels.
3. Time Commitment:
Part-Time
Participate in Sunday, Wednesday, and *pre-determined church wide activities.
2 Office hours – To be determined by Worship Leader & Senior Pastor.
o To be scheduled on church calendar.
o Includes out of office meetings, visitations, and task as requested.
Summary statement: This Part-Time ministerial staff employee shall work in partnership with the Senior Pastor and other staff
and lay leadership to create an environment of passionate worship.
*Pre-determined as discussed and agreed upon between the Senior Pastor and staff members.
